Emily is enthusiastic to continue
wherever she can with Irish dancing.
Emily Kurzreiter
Substitute Teache

Emily is one of the Senior Championship Dancers with the Sionnaine Irish Dance Academy. She has been dancing with the school since 2001 and taught full time during Michelle's maternity leave in 2013. She has competed in 8 Western Canadian Oireachtas Competitions and 1 National Competition. Emily excelled in Competitive Irish Dancing, placing herself into Open Championships by 2010 and competing at the North American Nationals the following summer; all the while completing a Bachelor of Social Sciences from Simon Fraser University by September 2012. Maintaining above average marks in her academics, while juggling several different elements of life, Emily was recruited by Michelle to be a teacher earlier than she was actually able to do so. She was being helpful and positive with her peers, which made becoming a teacher the next natural step. Emily is enthusiastic to continue wherever she can with Irish dancing, and does not believe her competitive dancing career is over JUST YET!
